Lucas Black hails from Horley, England. He is a World Rugby Level 200 coach and began his rugby playing career at Crawley RFC where he rose through the ranks, before departing to the USA where he first attended Lindenwood-Belleville University in 2018, Winning D1aa National Seven’s in his freshman year. After his success at Lindenwood-Belleville, he transferred to Lindenwood University in Saint Charles. He played in the Collegiate Shield which then saw him move to Houston to play with Rugby HTX in the Houston Sabercats Academy. Black was injured during his tenure in Houston and then returned to Saint Louis where he began work as a Personal Trainer. Black graduated from Lindenwood University with a degree in Exercise Science. He is a family orientated person and lives with his fiancé Sydney and their two dogs Daisy and Delsie. He also is an avid soccer fan and an occasional recreational player. He is also the assistant coach of a college varsity rugby program at UHSP.
